He was a British Comedian. He also used to work as a radio presenter.  He work as a Co-host on Absolute radio.

He appeared on BBC radio programmes like the “Russell Howard’s Good News” and other programs on Radio1,2 and even radio 4.

He was the brother to Cinematographer Joshua James Richards.

Gareth Richards accidents.

This year has been a bad year for the comedian as far as road accidents are concerned. He is reported to have sustained a serious accident on 27th March,2023. He survived that accident only for him to have succumbed to this second accident that claimed his life on 7th April,2023.

His wife said he was taken to a hospital after that nasty accident. He was put on sedatives while scans were performed on him. The scans and other test revealed that he had serious injuries to his brain. This made the doctors to take him out of the life support.

Many have been sending tributes in honor of the late Comedian.

Elis James  tribute read: “I’m so sad to hear about Gareth Richards. We started comedy at the same time and I was totally in awe of his talent, but more importantly I was always struck by how kind and gentle a man he was. Just a complete delight to be around. My thoughts are with his family.”

Comedian Angela Barnes also shared this: “The news we’ve all been dreading has come that @garethrichards has left us.

“He was so funny and, above all, so kind and gentle. Love and strength to his family and friends and his comedy family who are all reeling from this. Rest in peace Gareth xxx”.

“I was a fan of Gareth Richards before I met him and was so thrilled by how lovely and hilarious he was offstage as well as on. A giant of joke writing.
