An unlucky pedestrian lost his life for simply walking on the pedestrian walkway. The pedestrian lost his life when a truck, an Articulated truck  which was fully loaded with wooden boards fell on him.

The accident happened  at Assin Fosu Masalakyi “Roud About“. People who witnessed the accident said the man walking on the walkway while the truck was  negotiating a shark curve.

The truck  with registration number, AS 5942-10 was moving at a high speed. It fell on its side after taking a sharp curve.

It was the wooden load in the vehicle which fell on a man who was using the pedestrian walk way.

The man was killed on the spot.

The body of the man who was not named was retrieved and sent to the St. Francis Xavier Hospital morgue “by a joint team from the Ghana National Fire Service and the Police command in Assin Fosu”.

The driver was picked up and is with the police. This is to help in investigation and to prevent him from possible mob attack.
