We will look at the California man who was killed while helping ducks cross road. His death came minutes after onlookers applauded him for that kind gesture.
The man met his untimely death on Thursday night after he had helped a family of ducks crossed a busy road.
The man’s kind gesture was witnessed by onlookers and other road users. The unnamed man had stepped out of hi car to help the family of ducks cross the road.
Onlookers like William Wimsatt, a 12 year old boy watched him with admiration as the man helped the ducks crossed the road safely.
They then applauded him, only for him to be struck down by another car who was speeding and had no idea of what was going on.
The horrific incident took place at the ” Stanford Ranch Road and Park Drive in the city of Rocklin” which is about 22 miles from Sacramento.
William Wimsatt who witnessed the man being struck by the other car said:
“He got out of the car and was shooing the ducks and everyone was clapping because he was being really nice.” William who even took photo of the man further added that:
“He helped them get up over the curb because all the little baby duckies were having trouble and then he walked in front of our car.”
William added that:
“My mom rolled down the window and said, ‘Good job, good job,’ and I said, ‘Good job’ to him too.”

“I didn’t see the car actually hit him. All I remember is the sound and then him flying across the intersection,” he said.
“His shoes and one of his socks were right in front of our car.”
Another witness, a woman said:
“They were saying, ‘Oh, it’s so cute. It’s so nice of him.’ And then all of a sudden he was hit by a car.”
The California man had his children in the car and they might have witnessed their dad being killed in that horrific manner.
The driver of the car that struck this kind man is said to be a 17-year-old girl.
She is said to be “cooperating with authorities and is not currently facing any charges”.
