Maria Falls was married to her husband George who survived her.
The former British Navy officer was survived by her mother Eileen and brother Sean.

She was said to be walking with a friend when she suddenly collapsed by the edge of the water.

‘’Gardaí and emergency services responded to an incident at Ballymoney strand, Co Wexford shortly after 8 p.m. A woman in her 60s was taken from the water and treated at the scene by emergency services personnel but was pronounced dead a short time later.
“The deceased was removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will be carried out. A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
The former officer lost her life after around 8pm. She was pronounced dead later.
Her body will be repose at the Byrne’s Funeral Home Crablane. Her body will cremated after a removal service at Byrne’s Funeral Home Crablane.
