Born on 11th February,1930, Dame Mary Quant was a British famous fashion designer and icon.
She rise to fame was in the 1960s when she was popular with Mod, London based enterprise and was active in youth fashion movement.
Quant is credited with the development of miniskirt as well as hotspants. Her creative work made Ernestine Carter, an American -British museum curator to described her in a writing saying: “It is given to a fortunate few to be born at the right time, in the right place, with the right talents. In recent fashion there are three: Chanel, Dior, and Mary Quant.”

She was happily married. She met her husband back in 1953. They got married four years later in 1957.
The name of her husband was Alexander Plunket Greene. Alexander Greene, Dame Quant husband was a business man.
